Individual Small Grants: Guidelines

Introduction: Youth Barossa through its Individual Small Grants Scheme provides the opportunity for individuals aged between 12 and 25 who live in the broadly defined Barossa region, to conduct projects and activities.

Am I Eligible?

Applications for funding under the individual Small Grants Scheme are restricted to individuals aged between 12 and 25, who live, work or go to school within the Barossa region, including the Council districts of Barossa & Light Council, whose activity falls within the project categories outlined.

Arts/Culture
Youth Development
Item purchase
Education / Training

What Do I Need to Do?

To apply for funding, applicants need to submit an application comprising the following:

Completed application form – Apply Online
Any supporting information attached with application required (eg. Quotes)
Complete a Drive My Future Evaluation Form at completion of funded item/activity

How Much Funding is Available?

A maximum grant amount up to $500



Application Process

Applications must have the support of an individual, community group or agency that relates to the wellbeing of young people.
Applicants must provide two written quotes for goods/services
Applications will be approved on a monthly basis by the Youth Barossa Management Committee

Priorities

Priority will be given to:

Individuals that have not previously received a grant from Youth Barossa
Activities that relate to an identified youth issue or need.
Individuals which have not received significant financial assistance from other sources.
Align with the strategic directions of Youth Barossa

Exclusions

Individuals that have not lodged completed evaluation reports or supplied financial statements relating to Individual Small Grants provided to them previously.
Activities which have been completed-(Reimbursements of money spent will not be funded)

How & When is the Grant Paid?

Upon approval from Youth Barossa, the grant will be paid via direct credit or cheque to the organisation named on the quote for goods or services.
Applicants will be notified in writing of the outcomes of their application.
